Oh, and a stained-glass windows!  I have a stained-glass room - and I adore that type of art. 10 years ago someone throwed away 10 beautiful stained-glass windows during the renovation of a music school in some little town not far from Kyiv. 
Some guy found these stained glass windows - and put them up for sale online. They must have been hanging there for a long time, because when I saw the ad and wanted to buy two windows (I don't know why, but how could I let the real art go to waste?) - he made a huge discount, and also agreed to pay for delivery to my city. So I became the owner of TEN stained glass windows. Eight of them now are in two rooms in my house: in fact, we were only going to slightly enlarge the old veranda, but in the end we made two separate rooms for these stained glass windows. 

How wonderful! I used this result *because* of the windows. 
Your house sounds like an Art Piece - with you involved, I'm not surprised. 10 windows - what a bounty! More rooms is usually a good idea.
