Appointment in Cydonia 8

The enigmatic Face on Mars which has gazed up at Earth and the Dark Spaces Between the Stars for a million Aeons... is revealed to be merely the front of the head of a Giant Mecha Robot! The ancient being begins to sit up, shaking off the rusty dust of Martian soil which has hidden it from view, as it speaks to the cyborg, "Contemplating the golden, sublime stars of the ether, I note the sidereal motions and changes with my mind." All around, the Plateau of Cydonia comes into view, with the disturbing non-Euclidean geometry of its five-sided Pyramid, its crumbling Occult Temples... and as the Dust Devil leads the cyborg (dressed somewhat as a superhero) approach the Plain from across Acidalia Planitia !
