After only one adventure as James Bond, David Niven was replaced and killed off in the following Bond movie's first scene. The villain being no less than the Pink Panther, who lured Bond into a room with hanging orbs of an altered giant Newton's cradle. Realizing too late, that these orbs would start swinging badly and relentlessly in just the next moment.

Test audiences were irritated by the coarse brutality of the scene in combination with the silly real life costume of the Pink Panther that was possible in the year of 1969, so the producers replaced the intro scene.

This did surprisingly well in the Pink challenge: Ranking 40th out of 54. Though it wasn't created for that challenge.

Haha, I just noticed, coincidentally, Foodjoo_Pikotak had made creations of a bad boy Pink Panther three days earlier to my creation here just referring to:

Hello Lupus, unfortunately I don't know anything about James Bond, so I can't say anything about the background. But I can say that I think your pictures are really great! Like them! πŸ’—

The reality behind this: The David Niven Bond, a movie called "Casino Royale" of 1967 really exists. As it is a spoof with Woody Allen as the villain, it is considered apocryphic. Thus, this scene is entirely made up. However, the quiz question is: Which other really existing apocryphic Bond actor is indirectly referred to by today's entry?
