I agree it usually does better.  I kept getting different sizes of mounds, different versions of the plant, but the one that looked most like a real aardwolf complete with stripes was the one I used. I have been spending lots of credits lately trying to get what I want. This slot machine of AI fights with us sometimes!

Boy, does it ever! I saw the plant in your prompt but I figured I'd settle on acacia since it's found where the termites and aardwolves are. What surprised me is the mounds aren't those tall rock hard ones. I knew they ate termites and just assumed those were the kind. I did wonder how they were able to get at them though.

Have you seen photos of them with their manes erect and tail bushes out? I knew they had manes but thought it was like the spotted hyena. If you haven't seen them fully erect you've got to take a look. I was very surprised! And I saw a cub with its mane erect too. It looked adorable!! 😍

The cubs are so cute. I like when their mane looks kind of like a zebra mane, which may be what you are talking about.
