A SILHOUETTE STANDING IN THE DARK

Sometimes I get so high, Just so I won't feel low. I know I'm not the only one, But ofttimes it feels like so. Night calms the day, takes me away, To a place where shadows play. The night feels cool against my face, In my dark and private place. I'm just a silhouette, standing in the dark. A shadow living in the world, Leaving no trace or mark. I am just one of many, I know that we are legion. Living every day alone, until our time is done. Alone in life, alone in death. We welcome our last and final breath.
