Galkali the Colossal Tortoise and the Golden Palace of Deutoran Pasha

Galkali was very large, and he'd become so large over a great deal of time, so that by the time he met the most reverent and noble Deutoran Pasha, he was quite old, but he had many centuries of life and vigor in him yet, and so, when Deutoran Pasha asked to build his magnificent golden palace upon Galkali's great shell, the colossal tortoise considered it.

He thought about it for quite some time, as he was a wise and patient being, so he paused beside a moonlit glade on a cool and calm autumn night.

As the moon rose and then sagged towards dawn, Galkali still pondered, slowly chewing on some tasty banyan leaves. But Deutoran Pasha, though young and ambitious, was also wise and patient for his years, so he sat beside the colossal tortoise quietly, occasionally playing his pan flute.

Eventually, Galkali agreed, with a sagacious nod of his great brow. Construction began immediately and, in time, a magnificent golden palace rose upon the great shell.
