All of us are a "son of man" (the word "man" in Greek is 'anthropos', which means "human being"). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, willingly became the Son of Man....a human being. He identifies with our sorrows and temptations; and even when we mess it up, He still waits to heal and embrace us again.

This story always moves me to tears. I did a mission trip with teens from my church one year and we were given the opportunity to wash their feet. I wept over each of their feet as I remembered how they labored in love, and how precious each was. It was one of the most profound spiritual experiences of my life.
