The True Mastermind Behind SPECTRE

Throughout the 1960's and early 1970's, James Bond Agent 007 and MI6 constantly pursued the elusive and devious individual known as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, head of the notorious international criminal organization SPECTRE.

Many times, they would find Blofeld, foil whatever plot he was enacting, and apparently kill him in the process. And yet time and again, Blofeld would resurface years later, often inexplicably appearing completely different than he did last, forcing 007 to battle his foe and his organization once again.

What neither Bond nor MI6 realized was that each of these individuals named "Blofeld" were in fact nothing more than puppets, designed to draw the attention of 007 and British intelligence, all while the true mastermind behind SPECTRE and its evil plans remained hidden in plain sight.
