The Vault Lurker feeds off the greed of those who seek to hoard wealth. It is said that anyone who stores a significant amount of money or valuables within its domain will begin to experience nightmarish visions, leading to paranoia and an obsession with checking their stored wealth. The Ghast’s presence induces insomnia and madness in those it haunts, causing them to believe that their valuables are slowly vanishing or being stolen, even if they are untouched.

When directly confronted, the Treasury Ghast will not attack physically. Instead, it manifests hallucinations, causing individuals to see their wealth crumbling to dust or themselves being locked inside the vault forever. Its whispering voice, which sounds like the rustling of paper bills or the clinking of coins, drives many to panic.
