Opaque clouds of varying density cruise over the bright faced moon, light stutters through smoke and haze,

Summon their faces, oceans of moments flashing silent in brief glimpses of memory,

A smile, a snatch of laughter at some forgotten amusement, wind blown hair as we drove to a forgotten destination,

Ghosts reaching their bare branches, sunlight glare, obscuring your eyes, footsteps depart, doors close behind
