Gypsy Lady grew up with me when we were both children but she grew up faster than I did. This looks just like her.
Gypsy was a fierce protector and hero. Before she slept at night, she got right in we kids' faces to make sure we were okay.
When I had chicken pox, she sat on me where I was lying on the sofa. Not sure how she thought it helped, but she didn't want to leave!
When a pack of wild dogs went after my mother, Gypsy fought four dogs. She came back covered in blood. None was hers.
No one messed witn Gypsy's family.
Gypsy also kept a poisonous coral snake from entering our house. She attacked it until Mom arrived to remove (kill) the snake.
Maybe Gypsy was Christopher Robin. Maybe I was Pooh. But when she left this world, I missed a second mother.

Sweet and sad and nice artwork. And holy crap where did you grow up? It sounds awfully dangerous! Wild dogs? Jeez. There's a Modest Mouse song about a "Wild Pack of Family Dogs." I never considered the story in the song could have actually happened, heh! I mean, it didn't, but i didn't realize it could be plausible somewhere. Heh. Anyway π
Yes it is a touching story about the best friend d a man can have. She is a real HERO. I'll draw a lighted arrow for her too ππΉ
