Here's their story:

It was in 1983, however, that they rose to international fame, with the hit single "Mama Don't Bleach," which poked fun at Madonna's hit in a punkish reinterpretation that earned the two "maybe sisters" the No. 3 spot in the UK charts. The single also placed in the Top Ten in Holland and Norway, and Pink & Purple embarked on a European tour.

The following year, when everyone expected an encore of the success from them, the duo disappeared from the scene never to return. It is now considered a cult band and many rock stars have referred to the P-Punksters as their "inspiration."
