We informed the suspect of his rights and the charges against him. He resisted arrest and tried to pull Rapunzel's hair, which was hanging out of the window. We had to use reasonable force to detach him from the hair and handcuff him. We searched him and found a pair of scissors and a ring in his possession. We seized these items as evidence.

We placed the suspect in the back of our patrol car and transported him to the Launceston Police Station. We booked him for the offences mentioned above. He was fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell. He requested to speak to a lawyer. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 11, 2023, at 9:00 am.

We contacted the king and the queen, who confirmed that they did not know the suspect and that they had not given him any permission to enter the castle or see their daughter. They said that Rapunzel was under strict lockdown due to a pandemic and that she was not allowed to have any visitors. They said that they had locked her door and window and that they had the only keys. They said that they were very concerned for her safety and that they wanted to press charges.

We decided to arrest the suspect for the following offences:

• Break and enter, Section 102 of the Fairytale Land Criminal Code
• Trespassing, Section 103 of the Fairytale Land Criminal Code
• Attempted kidnapping, Section 205 of the Fairytale Land Criminal Code
• Stalking, Section 306 of the Fairytale Land Criminal Code
• Violating a public health order, Section 404 of the Fairytale Land Criminal Code

On December 8, 2023, at approximately 10:00 pm, I, Officer Broke Comic, along with Officer Beast Beastly, were patrolling the grounds of the Royal Castle, located at 101 Magic Avenue, Launceston, Tasmania. Upon reaching the west wing of the castle, we observed a male suspect, later identified as Prince Charming, also known as Chad Chaddington, climbing a ladder that was attached to a window of a tower. He was wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and a red cape.

We approached the suspect and ordered him to come down and identify himself. He refused to comply and continued to climb. He said that he was on a date with Miss Rapunzel, the daughter of King Frederick and Queen Fiona, who lived in the tower. He said that she had invited him to her room and that he had permission to enter the castle. He said that he had brought her a gift of a pair of scissors.
