The sun's rays melted the ice on the fjords, Again old and young dream of war. Each waits for signs of their fate - To die in battle or grasp coins galore.
The winter so long Is finally done, In the hall gathered all the folk so free.
South let's now sail, Where dragonships wait - Tomorrow we'll start our plundering spree.
But I hear again the talk Of sailing far westward, we must not balk... What if only empty ocean's beyond? I'm not ready to trust simply words from their mouth!
Who are you to defy the chieftain? Foolish boy with your map. Better to pillage ruins again, Than drown lost in a dream. What good are tales of newfound land? My longships I'll keep on hand.
