Far to the South East of the central continent of Haldyne, across the treacherous seas called The Vastness is the continent of Quor, once a thriving empire of agriculture and vast forests, now almost entirely swallowed by the desert called Z'duin Aruo in the tongue of it's people, meaning The Roaring Sands.
The desert spread rapidly, and it is thought that terrible magics and even more terrible consequences are what led to the desiccation of this once mighty Empire.
Ashafo was a Aruomancer or a desert sorcerer, capable of summoning, quelling and directing the terrible sandstorms that had stripped the land down to the bone. She was an enigmatic figure, even among her own people, with a palpable sensuality and aura of power.
