Well, this is challenging.  I can think of at least 3 ways to interpret this image; so I'll go with the one that seems most obvious to me and we'll see where things land.
Given your title, I think the 3 Trauma sisters are fighting to keep the potential abundance of the Universe from expanding in the mistaken belief that there isn't enough to go around, so they are fighting to contain it, insofar as it was done to them (hence, trauma). They believe it must be restricted to those who have already gotten a share despite the odds. They may believe that if they don't fight to keep the supply low, their share may be taken, or at least diminished.  Generally speaking, we are not taught to share, in the belief that there will be less for all because there is a limited supply. Generalizing again, we are not taught that there will be enough for everyone if we all share. Am I close?

You are very close, but there are endless ways to interpret this image. First of all, abundance is limitless in the universe, so it will always win. The problem lies in the way most humans manage it. At its core, what I wanted to represent are the three different states of limiting beliefs that we all need to be released from.

The first is the bond with our parents, symbolically represented here by our mothers, who often restrict us in order to make parenting easier, but end up damaging us in the process. The second is the bond with our siblings, peers, and so on, who limit our creative spirit in order to form a group identity; symbolically, this is the sister who always compares herself to you to protect her own identity.

The third is the bond with society – teachers, spouses, friends – who stop you from being too different in order to maintain social cohesion
