Versaille no bara : Lady oscar

(An essai...from the manga Versaille no bara : The rose of versaille). Here is the officer "Lady Oscar", heroin of the story.

The action takes place in France, before and during the French Revolution. The main character of the story is the young and giddy Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, but later the story refocuses on a woman named Oscar François de Jarjayes.

Oscar's father, General de Jarjayes, desperate not to have a son (he has six daughters), decides to raise the youngest as a man. He trains her in the arts of fencing and horse riding. Oscar often practices with his best friend and (technically) servant, André Grandier.

André is the grandson of his nanny and, as such, they spent most of their time together in a harmonious friendship...but the story doesn't end like this...
