I'm certain that I saw this in '73, right after The Midnight Special. 

Legend has it that Tom Cruise played this garbage bag and did all the stunts himself. However, I find it less believable. Why would such a likeable and great actor play garbage?

The protagonist (the elephant) seemed to be fighting a giant *hot water bottle*? Then, after this shot, a full *Glad* trash bag entered the scene and just shook until it's sides ripped, spilling household garbage everywhere.

That was about it.

The movie *did not* suffer from its exclusion in the final cut.

This was an outtake from the most surreal fight scene ever in a Hong Kong Kung Fu movie.
