they usually fly, so the sailing adventure gave their wings a nice rest on the journey. They'd sailed for a good four fathoms and a spliced mainbrace or so, when they both realised that they'd left a delicious banoffee pie baking in the oven back home. They felt so silly! Fortunately it was one of those new-fangled AUTO-OFF electric ovens, so they knew there were no health and safety issues. Plus they had just had the sprinkler system serviced in their cottage, so if the banoffee pie did catch fire and the house went up in flames...
