Ashildr continued to read Clara's notes. The many names Clara had mentioned remained a mystery to her. Apparently, the late Lord Highclere had not been rich in worldly possessions only, but in complicated relationships as well.

There was mention of troublesome relatives, shady business acquaintances, caring and trustworthy staff, people Caten liked, and of... pudding? Oh, come on, Clara, there has been a murder and all you're thinking about is food! Ashildr chuckled to herself. Oh Clara, look at me, sitting in a forgotten library gods knows where and when, reading your Agatha Christie murder mysteries, and having no clue how to find you.

The notes had stopped. Ashildr started to flip idly through the pages, reading bits of the novel Clara was scribbling her notes into. Egypt, a murder, a quaint little detective... She imagined Clara snooping around inside the stately home before summoning everyone to the drawing room.
