Sinestra Surtoriasyllis

A serpent twined between the fingers of the lithe priestess as glistening rainbow scales gracing her cheekbones shone in the pale firelight of the dimly lit temple. She sat upon a tripod, her eyes closed as fragrant vapors swirled about.

"You will give me a prophecy, witch. Or I shall kill you and send a message to the Conclave myself." Demanded the shadowed being, a looming silhouette of a long-barreled rifle cast against the cave wall.

The woman opened her eyes to reveal small slits before they resumed their human shape. Her gaze did not waver from the shadow. "I prophєsy only when inspired. You cannot hurry fate." She touched noses with her pale serpent. "My death will only light the flames; this action is not the first, nor shall it be the last."

There was a salvo of gunfire and a flash of crackling light... and then darkness.

The priestess' eyes opened, dilating into human shape. "So..." she whispered into the darkness. "It begins."
