I have a similar method, but it doesn't involve MJ. It's part of my workflow anyway. Sometimes I'll create something here which I like (but don't publish), and then tweak it in Lightroom. That might involve correct any render flaws (or crease lines) which show up after max enhancement (on a higher res screen too), and adjusting the lighting (composition too sometimes) and even playing with some pre-sets and mask layers to add another fresh perspective. That's all done prior to Style Transfer porting here. Different method, put the principle is similar.

But to the crux of what you're saying. Those who do have a problem with it (and if it is considered taboo, including your MJ route) really do need to give their head a shake.
