Disciplinary Review

You disobeyed orders. The mission succeeded, if only just. You almost got everyone killed.

You're confined to quarters, ecstatic that you're not in the brig. You take your meals, you write reports, you sleep. The cycle repeats.

And then you are summoned. A disciplinary has been scheduled, and it's happening right now.

However ready or unready you are, the guards escort you to the commandant.

She is waiting for you in the officer's lounge. Her face is inscrutable, but her body language screams of stern disapproval.

You take a seat across from her. You confess everything. You don't even think to lie or embellish.

She remains unimpressed. She places you on disciplinary probation until further notice.

She does not move as the guards take you away.

You are grateful to be alive.

You won't feel grateful for long.
