A gang of gray dwarves... not uncommon in some parts of Sombourgh, but Milo hadn't expected to see them in this part of the city.

"What'd ya think, boys? Elf wit wine nice as this surely has some coin too..."

"Tis tax season I believe."

"Ha, righto! As local representatives of this here community, I think it's only fair we get our cut!"

Part of Milo was tempted to use the Morelle name, which most gangs would think twice about crossing, but not all... and who's to say they would even believe him? No bodyguard, dressed in simpler clothes... and if they did, depending on what family they were connected to, they might just kill him outright.

He tossed his coin pouch at their feet, hoping to bring an end to this encounter as he struggled to his knee. He wiped the blood from his lip as he wheezed and coughed, the air still knocked out of him.
