The story got rewritten, and maybe it was better this way. A murderous crow sat by Juliet's side and drove Romeo away. She woke up from her poisoned sleep, and Romeo was not there. She at first cried because she thought Romeo did not care. But she crept from the crypt, headed home, and lived a full life. She became a fashion influencer and a beautiful rich man's wife. And Romeo, well, she never heard from him again. But that's what happen when you're young and fall for younger men. Shout out to NY Annie @AnnaMariaNieves for inspiring me with one of her incredible CorvidiconFlux creations. The story of Romeo and Juliet is contemporary and remarkably reimagined. Moreover, the artwork illustrating it is full of subtleties: I think of the red of the blood, the crow, but also the languor and the evanescence of Juliet. The whole piece is harmonious and well-balanced. Bravo!
