As the golden energy swirled around him, dissipating with leaf like flakes, the Doctor studied his hands, curious about his new body.

"Two hands at least, that's a good start..."  He stopped, recognising the voice that issued from his lips. "No, no, no...it can't be!"

Staggering to the console, he grabbed the main screen, yanking it round so that he could see his reflection.  The face that stared back raised it's silver grey eyebrows in shock. "Jethro???"

Running his hands across the face that belonged to his longtime friend, the Doctor stared up at the ceiling of the console room, as if he could see out into the universe beyond. Was this was some sort of cosmic joke?
He jolted when the phone blared into life.  Looking at it he noticed the caller ID, and his hearts sank into his feet as he recognised the number.  His hand shaking with trepidation, and a generous dose of fear, he reached out to pick up the handset.

"Gibbs is going to kill me" he whispered.
