While exploring the ruins of the city of Margull searching the open courtyards for any signs of recent travel in the hopes that my adventuring cohorts were the first to seek riches here. 

We found a small gem encrusted ring lying in the main courtyard, clearly visible, with no signs of recent footfalls, hooves, or wheels. Convenient and therefore suspicious, the ring must therefore be a trap; we prepared for ambush. 

When it became clear that there was no waiting threat and the various casters of our group tried their magic to determine if there was a peril waiting to be faced if the ring was picked up; I picked it up and placed it on my finger and braced myself for the worst.

The ring immediately fit me, a good sign, though nothing appeared to be happening now that I was wearing it. Just to be sure, I made a close inspection of myself and found nothing out of the sorts and even found the map of the vaults I thought I lost. 

We ventured forth and I kept my new lucky ring on.
