This abbey has seen better days, but it is very interesting to visit in its current state.

Indeed! and using the prompts 'Vctorian style by John Ruskin watercolour' and especially with DSXL I'm getting an approximation of using the old antique watercolour.  I blew about 30 credits experimenting but at least I have something I can work with. 

Splendid!! It's a shame when you can't find the right tool to properly represent what you have in mind. I'm glad you were able to find an alternative.
