The Thylacine aka The Tasmanian Tiger. Named for its tiger like stripes was a carnivorous marsupial (not a cat or dog despite their appearance) native to Australia. Until they were hunted to extinction to protect livestock. Scientists say their absense has severely damaged the Tasmanian ecosystem. Since Tasmanian Devils are becoming endangered due to a horrible contagious mouth disease. Which would of been prevented from spreading if the thylacines killed the infected devils before it spread
This image shows a striking portrait of a thylacine in a traditional oil painting aesthetic, capturing the animal's distinctive features and mysterious gaze.
