Kethrys (the recurring sorceress in purple) is a member of the Eudaemonia, an organization of sorcerers who orchestrated a French-Revolution-but-dark-fantasy in their home country and now run the place.  They're a little easier-going than the Reign of Terror... but make up for it with the ominous magick research.
