Monarch ruler of Kakatiya Dynasty, Deccan Plateau (1245-1289)

She was among the few and the most successful female rulers of Indian history.

Rudrama’s father and predecessor Ganapati, appointed her as his co-regent around 1260. And about 1269, she was formally anointed as a sovereign.

During her reign, Rudrama suppressed revolts and repulsed invasions from neighbors on all sides. She is thought to have lost her life in a conflict in 1289 and was succeeded by her grandson.
