Now she would share her numerical secret with Dotty, the cute little assistant at the old people's care home where she was happily living out her last days. Gladys unclenched the fist of her left hand and with a great big smile and a hiccup of laughter shouted out to Dotty..."I've got an extra digit!" Dotty, the assistant was fascinated and counted Gladys's fingers, confirming that indeed she had 11 of them in total. "That deserves an extra portion of apple pie and custard, with a great big dollop of double cream!"

this is dang near perfection.  Absolutely wish this had been able to happen in the series ...they deserved better than what they got...but it seems as though the doctor is doomed to lose those he loves in every case.  Just to name a few, Donna, Rose, Clara(many times) Amy and even River, not to mention Idris/TARDIS.  It has made me rethink wanting to be immortal

I still wanna be immortal but yeah, losing loved ones would suck


The Doctor still has Idris/TARDIS just they can't "talk" but they still  are adorable.
