Listratha Bailiwick paced back and forth before the necromancer. Having lost the struggle to free herself, she seemed much reduced, barely a shade amidst the tangling roots and, were it not for her malevolent aura, Lis would feel sorry for this imprisoned being.
Lis didn't have long, she drew the runes for compulsion and began questioning the necromancer about the koan, a mysterious device rumored to captured and neutralize magic.
"What you seek is lost to time.. You will need to travel further than you can possibly conceive to acquire it.. You will need deep auguries.. a place where time flows like tides.. and a token to guide the focal point of the dowse.. Make your way to the H'nuat R'lΓΌen.. in Quor.. the Hourglass.. but first a token.. the koan was made in Athrace..at the Forge of Souven.. Travel there.. North and West.."
The necromancer's whispers fell silent, she seemed in deep despair and Lis felt her heart moved for this tragic shade, but she left quickly.
