Through one of his accomplices at the Christie's auction house, he tried to sell Mr. Black a fake Rembrandt, but he managed to realize it, and through Brunette's contact, managed to obtain the list of works that he had falsified and who are their current owners and locations.
Mr Black is now blackmailing Brunette by revealing the list of fake works, which could land the artist many years in prison.
These characters belong to different versions of the game Clue/Cluedo from 1985 to 2016. Their backstory is totally made up.
