Every one is justified in their own mind ... we should probably at the least listen to the other maniacs we bump into!

If we recognize this as a fact, what options do we have?

We can just accept it and ignore the consequences.  People can take us as we are or go away.  Right or wrong that has always been my modus operandi.  Perhaps selfish, but I justify it as I typically do more harm than I do good, so I am doing people a favor.
