DND Series: Salt Mummy (Monster)

Salt mummies are desiccated, mummified corpses encrusted with salt, making it impossible to determine their original race. They stand around 6 feet tall and weigh about 180 pounds. These undead creatures are created when ancient humanoids are accidentally buried near veins of white, brittle salt, which, combined with their great sins, links them to the Negative Energy Plane.

Salt mummies often lurk underground, waiting to ambush unsuspecting miners who might unearth them. They communicate in ancient languages, sometimes knowing Common. In combat, their powerful slam attacks are enhanced by a dehydrating impact that drains moisture from their victims, causing severe damage. This attack is especially harmful to plants and water-subtype creatures. Salt mummies also possess unholy toughness, gaining extra hit points from their Charisma modifier, and they are weak against water, which harms them as if it were holy water
