Seen but not seen

This image comes from an experience years ago. At lunchtime while working downtown, as I was going out to lunch I saw an older gentlemen on a bench across the street in a local park. At first as I walked past, I didn't really think anything of it. He looked old and tired, but basically okay but something about him just kept nagging at me. When I passed him again after lunch, I sat down to find out his story. He was in his late 60s. I could not believe in the great country of America a man that age was in the streets. I made it my mission to help him and I hope I did. I will never forget him. His name was Bernard.
