Despaired, she closed her eyes. 

Admist all the chaos of her mind's cacophony of frustration, despair and anger, a tiny voice tried to get her attention. Had she been able to listen to it, it might have told her about the core and the loop and the dangers of a mind-altering device supercharged with a near limitless energy, but oh well, she did not listen.
