Skywing Drakes

Skywing Drakes are small, agile, arboreal drake-like creatures native to the upper canopy towers of Sylvaran’s vast, ancient forests. Measuring 3 to 5 feet in length from snout to tail, they possess slender, lizard-like bodies with long, graceful tails used for aerial balance. Their translucent, bat-like wings stretch from elongated forelimbs and sides, allowing them to glide silently between high branches, sometimes for hundreds of feet. Their scales shimmer with iridescent hues, reflecting sunlight and moonlight in shifting patterns of gold, jade, violet, or sky blue. This ever-changing sheen makes them hard to spot against the dappled canopy light—except during sunrise or sunset, when flocks of them glitter like shooting stars beneath the leaves.
