Aatush fled into the darkness, seared by the curse of endless rancor she'd taken from the paladin Hyresu into herself.
Memories flooded back from centuries ago, of her life in Almecca, her comrades that had fought and died beside her in the Terror of Belzaor.
As she trudged along, the searing rage and agony and betrayal began to fade. She was left with a terrible ache of loss only, something she had yet to face in the blind hatred that had gripped her in the endless march of the curse Belzaor had laid upon her.
She lay down on a sheer scree strewn slope, high in the pyroclastic Red Mountains, and decided her own fate. She would leave the Blightlands,she would go home.
