Chessboard suit

The chessboard suit helpd weed guys out, easy. If they cracked on chessplayers, goodbye. If they started mansplaining the rules, strike three. If they bragged about their rating, the same.

She just wanted a (relative) equal she could match wits with, giving their all, but not caring too much, of course. Even a pickup line like "What's your opening" as she played on her phone, on the way to work, could lead to nice things, with the right follow-up.

"You're good for a (pretty) girl," of course, did not. She'd just gotten that and would be sore for another minute. Her high standards went beyond fashion.
