Nyxara froze, her grip tightening on a vial. “I’ll brew a stronger potion to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

Alec moved closer, his presence looming over her. “I appreciate your devotion, Nyxara. Truly.”

Her breath hitched, tension thick in the air.
