Baiōken Eishun (c.1710 - 1755) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period, active in the late 18th century. He was part of the Osaka school of printmakers and is best known for his bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women) and kabuki actor portraits. His work followed the expressive, yet delicate stylization of ukiyo-e, often emphasizing elegance, subtle color gradations, and strong yet fluid linework. While not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Eishun's prints capture the graceful poses, atmospheric settings, and refined aesthetics typical of the genre. (OpenAI, 2025)
