December 16, 2024: Donner the Christmas Ferret

Abilities

• Vision: Donner can see in a panoramic 300-degree range, though he struggles to focus quickly on objects directly in front.
• Keen Smell: Donner can detect specific persons, objects, substances or even places, locate their origin and track targets with nothing but his nose.
• Flexibility: Donner has a unique, flexible spine that allows him to bend and twist his body up to 180 degrees, making him capable of wriggling through extremely tight spaces.
• Speed: Despite his short limbs, he can move at high speeds, maintaining much of his pace when transitioning from above ground to tunnels.
• Acute Hearing & Smell: Donner has a highly developed sense of hearing and a sense of smell that is far superior to humans, which helps him locate prey in his environment. 
• Powerful Digging: His large front paws and claws are perfect for digging, enabling him to create burrows and access his food.

Ferrets, like Donner, make a variety of sounds! They might "bark," which is a quick noise when they're excited or trying to get attention. They can also "chatter" or make a soft "dooking" sound when they're playful and happy. Sometimes, they may emit a whimper or a loud screech if they're startled. Overall, ferrets have quite an expressive vocal range!

Donner, as a ferret, would likely thrive in a cozy, safe home environment. Ferrets typically prefer small, secured spaces like cages or ferret-proofed rooms with plenty of tunnels, climbing structures, and soft bedding. They enjoy exploring, so having a designated play area with toys and interactive elements would also keep him happy. Additionally, having proper food and water sources, along with enrichment activities, would ensure he lives a fulfilling life.
