First, I must give a shout-out to the incredible NYAnnie @AnnaMariaNieves, who inspired me this morning with one of her latest creations. For my own creation, I wasn't sure what I wanted to see, but I'm happy with the creations that were rendered. I imagine this is a page from a diary from 1939. She and her family had only one hour to flee their home before the German bullies arrived. They had papers and their cousins in America to sponsor them. Somehow the diary got lost on the way, but this page was salvaged. It speaks of love broken by hate and geographical separations. It speaks of fear of the unknown in a new world. But it also speaks of hope for the future ...

Very atmospheric, with a powerful backstory đ what I also find very interesting is the handwriting, which is if course not actual text, but words and linguistic snippets can clearly be distinguished, emphasizing the overall sentiment of the image. đđđđď¸đźď¸
