Our theme this week is “Ethereal,” exploring the delicate boundary between the tangible and intangible, the earthly and the otherworldly. We’re looking for artwork that captures that sense of transcendent beauty—figures that seem to exist between worlds, possessing a luminous quality that suggests something beyond ordinary physical existence.

Imagine Shakespeare’s Ariel brought to life—the airy spirit from “The Tempest” embodied as a male figure hovering just above the ground, his lithe form partially composed of sea foam and morning mist. Perhaps you’ll be drawn to create a figure captured through long-exposure photography while moving with sources of light, his solid human form transformed into trails of pure luminescence that sweep through darkness.

The artistic approach is yours to decide. The only constraints are that your image represent one or more men, that it embody the essence of ethereality in form or concept, and that your image celebrate the beauty of the male form.
