I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. (Psalm 118:17)
The author of this psalm (unknown; widely presumed to be David) was really having a hard time. He mentions his enemies "surround me like bees....like a fire among thorns", and that he was "pushed hard" and "falling". Yet a majority of this psalm is the author giving praise to God for His strength and mercy.
Life is hard (Jesus Himself said it would be), yet He also promised to be with us wherever we go. Especially when life is hard. This week, share a creation showing God's deliverance from our enemies. Paul wrote:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
May God's mercy shine on you all this week ๐๐๐๏ธโ๏ธ
