And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:8-9)
When you imagine the garden of Eden, what comes to mind? What sights, sounds, and peace is there to be experienced? This week, show us your perfect Garden of Eden
Fun fact: When Jesus told the thief on the cross, "today you will be with me in paradise" in Luke 23, the word He used for 'paradise' in Greek is 'paradeisos', meaning 'park' or 'Eden'. Isaiah wrote:
For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. (Isaiah 51:3)
May the peace of Christ be with you this week 🙏
