A Divine Encounter

"Jacob named the place Peniel, “because I’ve seen God face-to-face, and my life has been saved.”" (Genesis 32:30, CEB)

Throughout Scripture, there are moments where people meet with the divine in powerful, unexpected ways:

• Moses meets God in a burning bush (Exodus 3:2-6)

• Isaiah sees the Lord high and is lifted up in the temple (Isaiah 6:1-8)

• Saul is blinded on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6)

These moments change people forever.

Some are filled with awe, some are undone, but none remain the same.

This week, show us a moment of a divine encounter. An imagined meeting with the Eternal. Possibly a place where heaven touches earth.
