Harrowing/Saturday

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. (1Peter 4:6/see also Eph. 4:9-10)

The time between the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ is sometimes called, "The Harrowing of Hell". The Bible makes only brief references to what happened on Holy Saturday.

• Mary Magdelene and the women prepared spices and ointments and rested (see Luke 23:56)
• Religious and Political leaders secured the tomb and had it well guarded. (Matthew 27:62-66)

We only know the rest by how Jesus found them when He returned...

• Scattered Followers didn't even recognize him in their midst (Luke 24:18)
• The 11 Apostles were corrected for their unbelief (Mark 16:14)

This week, show us something that (may have) happened in the BETWEEN time.
